First time seeing Chad in 2 months!

Had to share this picture of Chad he sent to me. It was great to see him today, we haven't seen him in 2 months! Taylor is all excited we just got web cams set up so we are hoping he can get connection in Iraq. She misses her dad. She is constantly saying, "I hope dad comes home early... or I miss dad". This is one of the first deployments were she has been stating her feelings. She is doing so well though. She is very independent for a 5 year old.

FINALLY! My paperwork is done and sent!

Hopefully by Friday my dossier should be in China. For those of you who do not know what a dossier is, it has about 13 pieces of paper that need 3 different seals on them, from a notary, secretary of state and then to the appropriate Embassy's. I wanted to pull my hair out from the paperwork. Hopefully I will be DTC soon.

Thanks to a nice mom who just picked up her little girl from Aiden's orphanage, she took these pictures for me. She is from Australia! Thank you Jodie.

Praise You In This Storm - Casting Crowns

I came across this video on You Tube. Being a military family faced with lots of deployments... the words of this song are so true.

Still Waiting

I love this picture !!

We are still waiting on a few pieces of paperwork to come in to be DTC to China (Dossier To China)... this is when we can start the 4-5 month wait till we travel. Taylor is so excited! Hopefully everything will come in soon!It is such a nerve racking process. I have people emailing me asking for updates, so I decided to post more on here.

Updates

One last game...

Well Chad left 2 weeks ago for overseas again. It has taken some getting use to but as a military family you can only look forward or we would go crazy. We know when Chad gets home we will be closer to having Aiden home or he may be home already. Chad is doing well, as well as you can when you are in Iraq. Taylor is missing her dad though. I think this is the first deployment when she has expressed her feelings as much. She misses him for his rough housing. Here is a picture of Chad saying goodbye.

I just had to share this photo of Taylor. This was her first sleepover birthday party. Needless to say she had a good time. Getting so big so fast.

Pictures from 1/24/2008

I got these pictures from a gracious mommy who just got her baby. She said he was playing with a ball and seemed to like that. She also said the nannies clearly love the babies. He just looks so serious or maybe scared from the strangers visiting. I wish I could go now and get him... still waiting on paperwork to come back here in NJ. Hopefully by July-August we will be able to go. It would be better sooner than later that is for sure.

Picture I found of Aiden from June of 2007

Aiden is with the nanny in the background. I found this on another families blog who was getting their son in June of 07. They are also a military family. It is great for the past to have these, for what we are missing out on at least we have some pictures.
