Busy Weekend

This week was very busy... baseball games, birthday party, sleepover and gymnastics meet. Thank goodness summer is soon here. Two more months for Chad to be home. We sure do miss him.

Aidens Birthday Today - New Picture

This will be Aidens last birthday in an orphanage. We sent him a care package that had 2 balls in it, some pjs and some candies for the nannies. I also ordered a cake and had it delivered... which we could be there but hopefully soon.

Taylor at Poppies..Fishing Rodeo

Well Taylor is having a blast up at poppies house. I actually have a weekend to myself. First time in about 3 months! I don't know what to do with myself. My dad and Dj took them to the annual fishing rodeo. He said they were more into playing with the bait then fishing! We are still waiting for our LOA (letter of approval to come in from China) in case you are wondering. Possibly traveling in July or the end of August is what we are guessing. Can't wait to bring him home!

Enjoying the Great Weather!

We have been enjoying the great weather. We went to the beach and Taylor had a great time. She sat 50 yards from me because she said she needed her "space" - at five years old! I was like okay, free time for me for 30 minutes. She is great. Then today she had her first t-ball game. It was so cute. 3 innings is enough for these kids though.

Just Remembering...

I have been thinking of my son who passed this summer. I know it is rather unusual to post about sad things on a blog, but I just wanted to remember Chase on this day - 9 months today. He is still a part of our thoughts everyday. We miss you little guy more than words can say. You are now our guardian angel watching over us.
I know there are people out there who have lost children, and I have to say that http://www.silentgrief.com/ has been such a blessing to me. It is a board I hope no one has to join but it is there for people who have had the unthinkable happen.

On Hope

Hope is a rare gift that if we are lucky, comes to us with the power to heal our lives. I've come to know that the deepest sense of hope often springs from the hardest lessons in life. It is in the darkest skies that stars are best seen.. perhaps it is divine irony that within the darkest moments we are capable of revealing the greatest light, demonstrating what is best with humanity.

Thanks to Connie and her husband I was able to get some more pictures of Aiden. I feel so blessed. I know I am so lucky to be able to have gotten these - thank you! She told me he seems quiet. I can't wait to bring him home to show him some love. Thank you Connie, these pictures mean alot. Connie also told me his nickname is " Gang Gang" pronounced like gong gong. Check out Connies blog - it is "Kaelebs Blog" on the right hand side of my blog. These pictures make me more anxious to go and get him. We finally got our LID which is March 18th. I hope time goes fast and a miracle happens with our wait.
